Resource Centre Library

The Resource Centre is a library from which anyone in Manitoba or Northwestern Ontario can borrow books, periodicals, cassettes, simulation games, etc. No charge, no membership required. Free return postage for books. See below for information about borrowing.

Check the "All News" page for information about featured resources.

The Resource Centre Catalogue is available for searching ONLINE.

How can you borrow resources?
1.Come in person to the Resource Centre at 1470 Willson Place, Winnipeg, MB. R3T 3N9
2.Request to have material mailed to you by phoning (204) 233-8911, faxing (204) 233-3289, toll free 1-866-870-2835 or e-mailing
resources@confmnwo.mb.ca or mailing your request to the Resource Centre.

How long can resources be kept? The loan period for most resources is three weeks (limited loan period for some curriculum materials). The loan period may be extended upon request, provided no-one else has asked for the item.

Is there any charge? No. We have a permit from Canada Post which allows our library users to return books (under 5 kg) free of charge by using a special mailing label which we supply to you. The only cost to you is the return postage for non-book materials, or for packages of books over 5 kg.

What materials are available? Books, cassettes, simulation games, periodicals, pamphlets, curriculum materials. Topics include worship, Christian education, bible study, social issues, music, theology, pastoral care, human relations, curricula, children's books, and more. You can check out the catalog online to see everything that is available!

Resource Displays: Displays of resources from the Resource Centre Library will be prepared upon request. Please give 10 days' notice.

There are two ways to use book displays:
1.A book display can be prepared for use at a special event (workshop or meeting) in your congregation or church group. Persons attending the event may borrow materials, and return them to the library 3 weeks later.
2.A traveling book box can be sent to your church, for use as a mini library for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
